Herron Contractors are a Family run business that specialise in all areas of ground and earth works for both the Private and Public Sectors. We are based in the heart of Co.Down, Northern Ireland, and now also have a base in Carrickmacross in Southern Ireland. We are a second generation family business that has gone from strength to strength, and grown with modern times to boast one of the most modern fleet of plant in our sector. We also have a vast knowledge of how projects should be completed, which is shown by the confidence shown in us by our sub contracting partners. Our areas of expertise include Muck shifting, Drainage, Plant and Low Loader hire, Concreting, Kerbing and many more, operating in the sectors shown below.

Supporting Farmers for generations, providing land reclaiming, water lagoons, slurry lagoons, ground works and operated plant hire.

Catering for the domestic market, site clearance, ground works, pipe installations, septic tank installations, foundation works and driveways.

Herron Contracts have a large range of Operated Plant for hire. Plant can be hired and will be operated by our fully trained insured drivers / operators.

Delighted with the efficiency of Herron Contractors, when they sorted the groundworks on my building site outside Dromara. From initial site clearance to foundations and the driveway, Mark and his crew were professional and a pleasure to deal with, being efficient and finishing on time.

Herron Contractors recently completed groundworks to allow us to extend our Farm. They were very efficient in clearing the site, and getting the foundations in place, quickly follow by our new prefabricated building. Highly recommended.
